A unique custom vest, made with your hands, with an appliqué motif that means something special to you (and that just looks so damn good). Over 4 lessons of 2 hours, I will guide you through the whole process, and you'll leave with a finished garment that you can wear proudly.

Some basic sewing machine experience is helpful, if you’re uncertain about being ready, you can book a sewing machine 101 lesson at a discount rate, simply add it with the “add on” option below.

Important information

All materials (fabric, thread etc) and all tools. You can choose your motif from my library, or we can come up with a custom theme after consultation.
The course consists of 4 lessons of 2 hours, you can select your preferred timeslot when booking, or select “other” and I will reach out to figure out a schedule.

Before we start: you send your measurements, broad colour inspiration, motif ideas and I prepare your pattern, the fabrics and the snacks.
On session 1: we confirm the fabrics and motifs, cut the pattern and appliqué shapes together and and begin needle turn appliqué.
On session 2: we complete the appliqué, sew the lining.
On session 3: we sew the vest, attach the lining, the binding and finishing touches.
The sessions run weekly on the same day and time, ideally 4 weeks in a row once we get started. After you book I'll reach out within 48h to confirm a start date and a schedule that fits you.

The course is located in my home Studio in Haarlem Noord (5 min biking from Haarlem Station). Once you book I will send you the exact location.
Note that there are 4 cats in the house, all very chill and cute, and on Sundays there may be kids in the house (not in the Studio), also cute but definitely not chill.
